Voice Teacher
I love teaching voice. I've spent my entire adult life working as a professional singer and actor, and it has given me great joy.

I work with students of all ages, at all levels, so you too can perform at your best level and enjoy the process Whether in the shower, or on stage, as a solo singer or as part of a choir or chorus, we sing for the sheer joy of it.
Your voice lesson is all about you.

Your sound. Your level. Your style. Your goals.

I cover many styles as I have studied and performed classical, pop, jazz and broadway. Breath control and support, microphone technique, ear training, expansion of range, mending "breaks" in the voice and song mapping are just some of the elements of our private singing lessons.
In my many years working as a professional singer and voice actor, I had to make sure my voice was warmed up and ready for every booking, every audition. I had to be able to sing all night and still be able to show up in the studio the next morning, ready to record.

My first ten years of vocal study were with David Blair McCloskey - a great voice teacher and pioneer in vocal therapy. When I began singing professionally in LA, I also started working with the legendary Seth Riggs, creator of speech level singing. Celebrity vocal coach John Deaver and Grammy winning Darlene Koldenhoven were two more profound influences who helped me refine my sound and strengthen my technique.
Whatever your goals - personal or professional - singing is FUN!

You don't have to risk losing your voice trying to get a great sound. Learn to grow your voice, expand your range and increase your power. Do it all without hoarseness, tension or vocal damage.
Your Voice Lesson - Part 1
Each vocal lesson is divided into two parts. The first part is a series of singing exercises customized to your vocal style and level as a singer, and are designed to warm up, stretch and strengthen the voice. We work on tone, strength, flexibility, breath support and tuning your voice and ear.

Your Voice Lesson - Part 2
The second part of a lesson is devoted to working your voice on songs. Sometimes a song will be selected to challenge you, sometimes because it is perfect for you and so you should learn to sing it perfectly, whether for fun or for auditions and performances.
You are encouraged to record each lesson so you can use it for practice during the week.
